VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Job Descriptions

The following job descriptions are a partial list of positions in which your particular skills would benefit Lifebridge and our residents. Most of the volunteer positions listed here are available to individuals who are here to meet service obligations for court, probation or as part of behavioral contracts at school. We may ask you for information regarding judgments against you in order to maintain the safety of our community.

FRONT DESK- The front desk is the point of entry. Direct contact with visitors and clients begins here. You will be asked to answer a multi-line phone system and maintain a respectful, safe environment. All shifts, training provided.

MEAL GROUPS- Leaders and servers will be scheduled and trained to prepare meals at night and on the weekends for residents and members of the community.

MEAL PREP/SERVERS – Needed to assist our Kitchen Manager during lunch Monday – Friday.

HELPING HAND- Helpers needed in 2nd Hand Thrift Store to sort and hang clothing donations, move larger donations such as furniture, and direct customers to appropriate staff members. Store hours; Monday – Saturday 10am to 5pm.

DRIVER – Needed 15-20 hours per week Monday through Friday to pick up donations for the shelter and the Thrift Store, to make deliveries for the Thrift Store and to interact with donors as a representative of Lifebridge.

HOUSEKEEPING ASSISTANT – Needed to assist and teach Seeds of Hope Housing residents to care for and maintain their living areas and belongings. Help needed during business hours; Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm.

GROUNDS KEEPING – Help needed with the general maintenance of the property; trash pick up, raking, shoveling etc…Seasonal and as needed.

ADMINITSTRATION – Help needed to set up client intake folders, new hire packets, volunteer packets, and job applications. Also, your expertise will go a long way with filing, the upkeep of archives, Giftworks, hand writing “thank-you” cards, updating mailing list and donor base.

MAILINGS – Your assistance required to help get our mailings off the ground. These include; quarterly news letter, and special events such as our fundraising events.
